Although the Synagogue is situated in a less obviously Jewish area than some, and the building is located advantageously in a cul de sac, in the current climate, where unfortunately anti Semitism in on the increase, the question must be and is addressed seriously.

With the advice of CST the Community provides its own security. Some twenty members are CST trained and play a prominent part in the members’ voluntary rotas which are organised for shabat and cheder and ad hoc for events

We enjoy a close working relationship with the local police who provide a presence on the High Holy days and at other times when requested.

Without tempting fate, so far we have fortunately been free of any serious threat, possibly due to the high profile we endeavour to maintain in this field. Long may it be so!
